MOST AMAZING PLACE EVER!!!!!
Stayed here with some friends during a Euro vacaction; a couple and my friend from home. The couple got a lovely larger unit with a kitckenette and we had a room closer to 2 of the pools, which was more enticing to me and my friend! Everyone enjoyed everything tremendously! The whole family owning the property was so welcomng and helpful the entire time, from giving us bus directions to sending us to some of the best restaurants nearby! I apologize to not be more specific, I am currently going through a pile of papers on top of my desk and wrote myself a note about writing my first review about the best place I've ever been too! The pool is great, they have breakfast if you like, and a glory of kitties roaming around to pet as you sun yourself next to one of the glorious pools! You will not regret your stay here, I promise you! Charming ,we were a group of 10,everybody was very complimentary about the service,cleanliness and most importantly Gianna ( the owner )and her family attention to details .They went out of their way to locate 6 of our suitcases lost between Athens and Santorini

Ξενοδοχειακή μονάδα που φαίνεται στα παντα η φροντίδα των ανθρώπων που τη διαχειρίζονται. Φιλόξενοι και εξυπηρετικοί όλοι. Ωραία πισίνα. Άνετα και πεντακάθαρα δωμάτια και ωραίο πρωινό. Η τυρόπιτα τέλεια και το Μεγαλοχώρι που είναι δίπλα αποτελεί έκπληξη για τον τουρίστα.
Started a 14 night island hop at this hotel. Arranged transfer with the hotel for 40 euros. We had room number 1 which opened out straight to the pool. Staff were brilliant - very welcoming, helpful & knowledgable of getting around etc. Room was great - we were literally living out of our cases so enough room to do so. Clean and bright with a small balcony area off the back. We only had breakfast one of the mornings we were there but it nice & plentiful. Bus stops literally right outside the hotel to get to the beaches and in the evening a short walk in either direction took you to local restaurants especially in the small village of Megalochori Just be careful walking along the roads. We had picked this location as it looked close to the ferry port on a map but it wasn't haha the port is down a mountainside so the hotel arranged a transfer for us again. We were only here for three nights but on checking out they presented us with some beautiful gifts. We would definitely return here.

A great guest house located perfectly in the centre of Santorini. Beautiful, uncrowded views of the caldera minutes away.
Staff is friendly and very helpful. Some of the best restaurants walking distance in the local village. Stayed there for 5 days! Good point of location! Distance from akrotiri perisa and thira, 5 minutes each with a car. Great management! Very hostile! Super clean. No weird smells. The pool and jacuzzi were clean. and the breakfast was worth it! Would recommend to everyone.

We stayed in this place one week. Everything has been perfect! The family so kind and sympathetic, rooms cleaned and new towels and bed linen every day! Pool and Jacuzzi in perfect conditions! And at the end of the stay a special gift to the ladies!
If we will come back to Santorini, we will choose again Abelonas Village! |
“Lovely family run apartments. Room was modern, comfy and spotlessly clean. Grounds and pool area well kept with plenty of sun loungers. Ask at the reception for info on boat trips which can be booked there and then. Bus stop right outside witch runs regular to both Fira or Perrissa. 5 minute walk from cliff edge with an amazing view of the Caldera. Definately worth a visit at Sunset, the view is spectacular and can be seen without the crowds at Fira and Oia. Village of Megalochori 10 mins walk which has good selection of restaurants, supermarket and lovely bakery.”

· Madame Gianna is the best host you could ever find, best conversations with very useful and valuable information about the island! I stayed a second time cause a first time wasn't enough! · The staff are very friendly and helpful. They gave us info on Santorini and the bus timetables. Answered any questions we asked and arranged transport for us to the port when we left. Good location just near Megalochori traditional village (5 mins walk away) and right outside the bus stop. The village is really nice with great places to eat and local shops. Room was cleaned everyday, towels replaced and bed made. Breakfast is available for 6 euro in the mornings which is a buffet breakfast type thing. They also organise excursions to the volcanic islands but we couldn't go whole here because of the bad weather. There are 2 pools a little one with seats and a bigger deeper one. Also lots of sun loungers. Was nice to be able to have a swim.

· We booked on booking.com. Gianna emailed promptly to welcome us, and ask for our flight details. She arranged a taxi for us to be collected from the airport, at a great rate. We wanted to book some quad bikes, we emailed her prior to our holiday and she arranged this for us. On arrival at the hotel she was extremely friendly, she provided hotel info, local info and bus times info. The rooms were fantastic, we had a room on the ground floor overlooking the pool, the air con was brilliant, and a safe in the room was a good touch, but having a fridge was great to keep our waters cool. The rooms were well kept, and each morning, cleaned amazingly. We had breakfast on a couple of occasions which was great. The fresh made cakes and puddings were brilliant. I believe we met her daughters as well, who were equally friendly. We arrived back after lunch one day, and we hadn't eaten. She made an amazing sandwich toastie for us, with fresh homegrown tomatoes. So kind and brilliant. The hotel facilities were good. An amazing pool perfect for relaxing and a Jacuzzi as well. The bar she had was at great prices, and proved useful on the hot days. A real suntrap area, and whilst not in the main town, it was on the main road, served by a very frequent local bus service, and with a bus stop just outside, it was perfect for us. It was the icing on the cake, and would recommend this place to anyone looking. Gianna arranged our shuttle back to the airport. She is the perfect hostess, and wish other hotels would have someone as great as her.

****This probably the best value accommodation on Santorini. Marietina looked after us beautifully during our stay. The photos accurately represent the physical environment. It is immaculately clean and staff carefully clean the room floors and balcony each day to take up the dust that endlessly blows around the island (no one tells you about that). The location is outside the intence tourist areas and there is a bus stop nearby. So easy to get around if you dont have a car. If you cant walk much though it may be a little isolated unless you want to pay a driver or have a car. Breakfast was substantial and extremely generous with freshly cooked traditional food. But fruit rather than fruit salad would have been better and some healthier cereals. Not everyone likes high cheese and high sugar diets. The pool is a great place to refresh at the end of the day. One odd thing is that you get paper cups in your room for tea and coffee not cups and wine glasses not water glasses. But Highly recommended.
 ***** Had a great stay here even though the weather was not great (around the time of the medicane). Staff are so friendly and lovely it's like being at home. Rooms are clean. Nice pool area. Good breakfasts in the morning and complimentary tea and coffee in the rooms.

They are very helpful and go beyond to help their guests with what they need. The location is great, further away from the main tourist hubs so it is more peaceful and stress free. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel but Gianna and her family also have rental scooters and contacts who deliver rental atv or cars. The rooms and spotlessly clean, and everyone has a patio with some chairs and a table. It is my and my fiance's first time in Greece and the next time we're back, we will definitely stay here again.
